Code Climbing on Youtube, my Distributed Camp 2020 Talk and More!

I have great news this week.

Code Climbing is experimenting with a new type of content, besides blog posts.

Videos! On Youtube!

Code Climbing: The Youtube Channel!

I’ve just launched the Code Climbing Youtube channel alongside a trailer describing what the channel is all about. Expect Ethereum, IPFS, Dapps and cool tech, just like the Code Climbing blog.

Expect weekly content on the channel.

I’ll update the Code Climbing blog when I release a new video, but the best way to not miss anything is to subscribe!

Distributed Camp 2020

I recently gave a talk about Fleek at the Distributed Camp 2020 conference. Of course, due to the Covid-19 situation, the entire event was held virtually, with the talks broadcasted through Twitch. It was a lot of fun and a new experience for me. There was definitely some shyness involved in my part, but I am happy that I did it anyway.

The talk itself is a full overview of Fleek. I discuss the Sites product and the Storage product and give multiple demos throughout.

I remember also my computer being quite laggy during the presentation. I’m gonna need to upgrade it one of these days… 😉

The recording for the camp is not out yet, but I will update this blog post once it is online.

Content on the Fleek Youtube Channel

Furthermore, I’ve been releasing tutorials about the Fleek plaform on the Fleek Youtube channel. It’s been a fun experience, considering I had never done videos before.

A great benefit of doing content for Fleek is that I already know a ton about Fleek, considering all the work I’ve done on the project, which in turn allowed me to focus more on doing content and less on doing research. Research can indeed be a time-consuming process, whether it is for a blog post or a video.

I had a lot of learn to get started and I think the result turned out well.

The first video is about deploying a React site on IPFS.

I encourage you to subscribe, both to the new Code Climbing Youtube channel and the Fleek Youtube channel to receive content I will produce.

I’m getting quite a bit outside my comfort zone, which is slouching on a chair in front of a computer screen, coding all day and not talking very much. I think the new channel is going to be a great growth opportunity, and growing is what Code Climbing is all about.

The only way is UP!
